It's Christmas Adam!

A few years ago one of our friends named the eve of Christmas Eve...Christmas Adam. Get it? Oh man. Anyway, it's just one of those weird things that someone says and it sticks for years.

I've been a bad blogging friend lately. You know how it is around Christmas time! I haven't been doing much art, just getting ready for the holidays. I've been busy with Neko who is learning the rules of the house much slower than I would of liked. He's a bundle of cuteness regardless of how many times he forgets to tell me he needs to go outside.

I'm not really one who bakes at Christmas. Usually I cook & bake only because I have to. I make dinner for my family and make random dishes for social gatherings out of necessity. Surprisingly I decided to try and make homemade marshmallows and succeeded!! I originally saw the Martha Steward recipe on The Black Apple blog. It's really easy and fun! If I concered the homemade marshmallow then anyone can!

So anyway, I just wanted to stop in and say Hi and wish you all a blessed Christmas!!

Sleepy Time!

I've been so busy all week with my new puppy!! He's a 4 month old Chihuahua named Neco. Neko is Japanese for cat! He is so small...a little over 3lbs. He is just SO precious, but SO much work. I've been busy not only trying to potty train him, but teaching him to simply go out the door and down the steps. It's been a lot of work getting up in the middle of the night to take him out, but I know it's all only temporary. It will be worth it.

One of the only other accomplishments I got done this week was the making of my new scrabble pendants. I only have supplies to make a limited amount of them at the moment, so when they're gone, they're gone! Snatch them up while you can at my Etsy Shop!

I love my friends!

Thank you SO much everyone who came out last night to my opening at Kairos. It just means so much to me...I feel so loved!! I was melting with joy every time another friend walked in the door!

I forgot to take pictures while actual people were there! Ah! That's such a hard thing when /you/ are the photographer of the family. Oh well, at least I got a few shots right before we left.

If you didn't get to make it out, the show will be hanging until January 1st!! Please stop by if you get a chance! Oh and I recommend iced Darjeeling Tea with a shot of blueberry and raspberry. It's to die for!

Thanks again!
blessings,
Marcia

Busy Bee...

I've been so busy getting ready for my show tomorrow! There's always so many little odds and ends to do such as tags for each painting and making sure they all are wired and ready. I'm getting there!

Here's one last minute painting that I managed to crank out yesterday evening. It was quite a surprise! HAH! Usually my paintings are very planned out, starting with a sketch with weeks or months of brewing. This one came out straight from my head to the watercolor paper. A very rare occasion.
