Cup Cake!

Want an easy, delectable treat that's weight watchers friendly?
I just found out about this recipe from my sister-in-law...and now I'm totally addicted. You make one "Cup Cake" at a time, so they are always warm and fresh! Only 3 points if you are a weight watcher, which is pretty darn good (some cupcakes are 10 to 15 points)!

It's SO EASY!
Get one box of Angel Food Cake
(make sure it's the kind with one bag in the box...not two)
and one box of Devil's Food Cake.
(you may use other flavors if you wish).
Mix both boxes of cake mix together, and put in container for storage.
Now to make a single serving cup cake!

Cup Cake!
Put 1/3 cup cake mix into large mug or glass.
Cup Cake!
Add 3 Tbsp of cold water.
Cup Cake!
Stir!
Nuke for ONE minute!
Cup Cake!

voilĂ !
Cup Cake!

Cup Cake!
Enjoy!
Add cool whip of you like! (Dang it! I don't have any!)

Have a great weekend!

Holga: My first try

I finally finished a roll of film with my Holga. Honestly I'm a bit disappointed with the results. Since it was my first try ever with a Holga, I will not give up hope! Anyway, why I am disappointed: Where are all the light leaks? Most of the pictures I took just look like regular "bad" pictures, not the kind I actually wanted! I got a few with a dreamy feel, but nothing that was anything special. Second, I realized that I took too many close up shots, which ended up cutting heads off. I need to remember for next time that the pictures will end up closer than what I see through the view finder.

So anyway...here's what I got.

(except for a few I'm saving for my 365 tree project)

So, does anyone have any Holga advice for me?

Say hi to my little Sunday School class!
We have such a fun time every week.
I thought I'd share a few pictures from today, plus a few extras.

Heidi!
I've been dieing to do a fishtail braid in Heidi's hair for a while now! Since we were on Easter party mode , I took advantage to the slacking.
 Sooooo pretty!

Here is a collection of weirdness that I've gathered from our Sunday School class. Randomly we'll come up with something strange, and leave it on the dry erase board for our youth pastor to find later.
HA!! Enjoy!

Sketchbook Circa 1993

I thought it would be fun to take a look at my sketch books from back in the day. I don't know if anyone else will even care about them, but they are very special to me. Somehow when I see my old sketches, it helps me remember things that I since would have forgotten...even the feelings from those moments.
Sketchbook 1993
I remember drawing this in the teen parenting room while in 10th grade.
Somehow art has always been therapy for me.

My hubbie!!! ...only 5 years before he was my hubbie.
What a hottie with his long flowing hair! ;]

My first try at watercolor and ink sketching.
If you keep a sketch book, do as I say: Always sign and date. NEVER tear pages out even if you hate what you have drawn. NEVER throw your sketchbooks away! Even if you don't like what's in them at the moment, if you keep them for the future you won't regret it. Trust me, it's worth it!

RingoWild!

How ARE you? I've been seriously busy. I'm feeling badly because I've barely posted this week. The Don't Wake Aislin project is about to be wrapped up...workin hard at it anyway! I project I'll have the last painting done by the end of next week. So exciting!

I did a little craft show last weekend, and met a new crafty friend! Her name is Lori of RingoWild!  She makes designer rings out of vintage jewelery. I felt in love instantly with these rings! I was feeling the need to treat myself that day, and ended up buying four of them!

Nyan Cat [original]

I've been sick all week. I was seriously getting things done and bam...extreme loss of momentum.

Nyan Cat will cheer me up!

This Summer...

I've been dreaming of all the crafty things I want to do this summer. I've been working so hard on commissions, so I swear that this summer I'm going to take some time to myself! Of course I plan on painting a bunch of things just for my own personal creative outlet, but also a bunch of random crafty fun! What exactly might you ask?

Make this purse - Found on thimble.
Make this rug with a hula hoop! Found HERE!
Collect mirrors for my living room! Inspiration found HERE.

Liquid Sundays!

Yesterday I participated in the latest Liquid Sundays. It's a great gathering of...well, awesome! They have music, tons of art, and is sponsored by Discovery Christian Church. It's held at J. Verno Studios on South Side, which is a gorgeous photography studio and event space.

It was really great to connect with Pittsburgh friends, and meet new ones.
I really appreciate all support from these lovelies. Good times indeed.

OH!
I completed a brand new painting just for the occasion! Can you spot it in the pic above?
Look out tomorrow, as I'll be posting it for the first time ever! Of course I'll have prints available with an introductory price. Wee!
