good bye glorious autumn

Autumn is over around these parts. I painted one last little water color as a farewell. It's a sad time since it's my favorite, but I shall not despair! Winter is my second favorite!!

...and it snowed!

My husband says that I love it because I don't have to leave the house if I don't want to. That's entirely not true. Even when I worked full time outside of the house I loved the snow and winter. I mean, if it's going to look all dead and dull outside, why not make it beautiful with shimmering snow!

Yesterday I got a call informing me that Sony could not repair my three year old Konica Minolta, so they replaced it with a brand new Sony Cybershot! What a GREAT surprise! I bought the three year service plan on that camera and it was about to expire on November 28th. The on/off switch had stopped working again. They had already tried to repair it once, but the symptoms started again shortly after. So I thought, I'd turn it in one last time. I never thought they would replace it completely! I did not like that Konica Minolta anyway. The colors were horrible and the focus was always soft. This new camera is a million times better! Always buy service plans on your cameras!!

As always when I get a new camera I want to try it out. Sadly there's nothing exciting around here to take pictures of! So, here's a couple I took out of desperation. HA!

The mantle in my studio.

Hello! LOL. Now this is desperation.

Have a cozy & cheerful day!

  1. I really like that watercolor painting of the tree. So fitting for autumn. It's my favorite season of the year, too! Congrats on the new camera.

  2. Cute tree! Autumn is my favorite too - the weather, the colors, the food, the clothes... :-)

I almost bought a Konica Minolta a couple years ago. Now after reading about the trouble you had I'm glad I went with something else (D40.)

  3. Yea I really really didn't like it at all. I don't think they even make them anymore anyway! I've always loved Fuji but now that I'm playin with this Sony I really like it!
