Bare Branches - Haunts Physical CD!

For those of you who were interested in buying the physical CD of my band's new full length, it is ready!
We spent many hours drawing, screening, designing, sewing, and hand-crafting your very own, very unique album cover. From the vintage button, handmade button loop, hand screened cover, interior fabric, to the hand drawn art. No two are the same.
The CD, CD liner, and album notes are professionally pressed.

You can can purchase it HERE!!

Art Show @ Beans on Broad

I had the privilege of showing art at Beans on Broad Coffee over the weekend. Beans on Broad is a wonderful coffee house in Grove City, PA. They are so support of the the arts!

There was a great turn out! Events like this are so invigorating to me. It's fantastic to be able to talk and connect with other creative types. I'm not gonna lie...being an introvert, it's really hard for me to do this. By the end of the night I'm pooped, but oddly enough recharged creatively.

Red Thread Movement.

I'm very excited to share that I am joining the Red Thread Movement! You can buy these hand crafted red bracelets through my Etsy shop, and also when I vend craft/art show. All proceeds benefit this wonderful organization.

Red Thread Movement
Whats the big deal? Read a small excerpt from their website:

"The impact of the Red Thread Movement is three-fold.  First, wearing the red braceletcreates awareness of sex trafficking [it’s happening more than we might think, with as many as 12,000 girls trafficked across the Nepal border each year].  Second, making the red bracelets provides employment for girls in Nepal who have been rescued from the hands of sex traffickers at the border.  Third, the revenue from the Red Thread Movement [each bracelet costs $3] employs not only the rescued girls but also funds the safe house that welcomes them and continues the establishment of border units.  These border units along the Nepal/India border each rescue as many as 100 girls per month from the bondage of slavery."

Purchase these now through my Etsy shop!

If you want to know more about Sex Trafficking and how you can help,
I recommend this book:
Not for Sale: The Return of the Global Slave Trade - and How We Can Fight It by David Batstone. You can purchase it HERE. It's a really amazing book that will change you forever. Get involved!

Christmas Tin Makeover

I HATE Christmas tins with a passion! They are usually so ugly and pointless. I never want to throw them away because I know they could be useful, but usually end up pitching them at some point. I thought it would be fun to do a little Christmas Tin Makeover, so they could be used for other occasions!

Christmas Tin Makeover
Step 1: Get an ugly Christmas Tin.

Step 2: Spray with primer.

Step 3: Add color (or if you're lazy like me, leave as is)!

Christmas Tin Makeover
Step 4: Add decoration of your choice. I had some flower silhouette decals.

Step 5: Spray on a coat of clear gloss finish.

There you have it! Now you are rid of an ugly Christmas tin, and have something you might actually use.
I plan on using mine as a gift box instead of wrapping paper!

Skirt of Wolves anyone?

I almost forgot I had this! A year or so ago, I found this fantastic wolf sweatshirt and made it into a skirt. I wish I had "before" pictures...dangit!  I basically just cut off the top and bottom, then took in the sides to fit my hips. I added a little elastic at the top just in case.

Ha!! I know... only a few of us would be caught dead in this.

Oh! Happy St. Patty's Day!

"Crap Cam"

Remember THIS camera (Ansco 1065) that I got at the thrift store? I finally got some film developed from it! I wasn't sure what to expect since I saw several websites calling it the "Crap Cam". Haha!! I used black and white since that's all I had here at the house. They turned out SO dreamy!
"crap cam"
"crap cam"
"crap cam"
As you can see this picture had multiple exposures... it was totally a mistake! An awesome mistake! For some reason the camera suddenly stopped advancing properly, so I only got 5 pictures out of the roll. Such a bummer, but either way I LOVE the way all the pictures turned out.  Sadly I was charged full price for 24 exposures even though only 5 came out. What a rip off!
"crap cam"
I'm going to give it another shot and try another roll. Maybe it will advance right this time? Wish I could control the double exposure thing. . . I'd love to do that again!
