9:00am - lazy Lora.

10:00am - Passing the Pentagon on the way to church.

11:00am - Church. This was in fact the longest sermon everrrrrrrr.

12:00pm - Hmmm. What now? 

1:00pm - It's MY birthday. FroYo for lunch please! 

2:00pm Home for a bit. A little pose before I change into comfy clothes.

3:00pm - Getting some groceries with my love.

5:00pm - Puppies hoping for a taste of our dinner.

6:00pm - Some sketching.

7:00pm- My hair needed a little touch up.

8:00pm - My first spinach & blueberry smoothie. Not bad. 

9:00pm - Travis watching NCIS while my hair marinates some more. 

10:00pm - Just a few more rounds of Wordpress before bed!

Weirdest book combo...

The other day I glanced down at our coffee table and thought... that's a weird combo of books.


From top to bottom:

Sketch book - Mine of course. I figure if I leave there I might sketch more often. Heh.
Kindle - I'm trying desperately to get through the Hunger Games. I'm on the last book and am utterly bored!
The New Rules of Lifting for Women - Yea that's right. I'm getting buff. Free tickets to the gun show coming soon.
It's Your Ship - Travis picked this up at the Thrift Store the other week. Another one of those leadership books he likes. :]
Iron Maiden - Gift to Travis from Dustin for Christmas. Dustin is a good gift giver.
Go Away, Big Green Monster - Kids book from the Thrift Store. I thought it was really cute. I'll probably send it home with Crystal this weekend for Elijah. . . maybe.

My weekend.

Miss Elora was crabby as usual. I love it when her little teeth stick out!


Travis and I went to Murphy's. It's an Irish pub in Old Town Alexandria.
My pulled pork came to me HAPPY! It was pretty darn good. I especially loved their in house Hard Cider.


Got some new shoes at Pacers. It was my birthday present from Travis! I thought it would be a good idea to try these because they have "stabilization". I'm really hoping these help my plantar fasciitis go the heck away! Of course I had to get the most colorful, obnoxious pair they had!


Still loving my hair. I'm really surprised how well the color has held up. True, I have only actually washed it once since I got it dyed, which helps a lot. The purple ends are finally starting to show up. At first they just looked black.


One of the Thrift scores from the weekend. Every song on this is pure nostalgic bliss!

Also, we tried out another new church. Emmanuel Presbyterian Church in Arlington. It was great fun. They were SUPER welcoming. We actually ended up going to lunch with a few of them! A little bit more of a haul to get there than I would like. I'm really excited because they are partners with the International Justice Mission...which is FABULOUS. I'd be really excited to get involved with that. We'll see. I think we still have a few more to try out, but this one was one of the best yet.

My Grandma's drawings.

When my Grandma passed away in October, my mom got out her old sketch book from 1946.

I grabbed a few pictures of them, then totally forgot until today. What a treasure!

Renovating the blog & hair!

Hola!!
I've been wanting to switch up the blog for a while now, so I guess today is the day.
I really tried to simplify, and make it very...ME!

On to hair.
I've had my hair the same for years and years now, which is NOT me at all!
I had this goal to have long hair for once in my life.
I achieved it, but in the process realized it was utterly boring.
Back to my old self! Chip-chop and color! Huzzah!

 

I feel SO much better!!!

Weekend shenanigans.

I totally need to get over Instagram! It's destroying my desire to blog! Haha.

Well, if you don't follow me on Instagram, here's what my weekend was like.

 

HOLY crap!! Travis and I bought a Livingsocial deal to go to the Phillips Collection in DC. I honestly had no idea it had my favorite Renoir!! It was absolutely gorgeous in person!

Degas.

Picasso.

Dinner and Moroccan Tea! So good.

Travis and I went to a few thrift stores after. Got a few records containing precious nostalgia. 

Also, a dumpster dive for a friend back home.
