Camera Thrift Score!
I am the new proud owner of a Nishika 35mm 3-D Camera! Yes, it's true...there is only one place in the country that will develop the film, but I can't wait to give it a try.
I found this baby at an estate sale over the weekend. I saw the box out of the corner of my eye...and the four lenses. I quickly got distracted by a bunch of vintage suitcases, and that was the end of it. That night I had a dream about the camera. It reminded me of some sort of alien spider with all those beady eyes! Hahah! Anyway, so the next day I went back to get another look. I had never heard of a "3-D" camera before, but I guess they came out sometime in the 80's. These people wanted $100 for it! There was no way I was going to pay that, especially before I got online and did some research. The lady saw me looking at it and said I could have it for $50. That was still too much for me. I did in fact find it online for $26. Then later I found it on amazon for $10. Both of those did not include the leather case or the flash. So my husband and I went back and offered them $25 for it. The lady would not take it. She said they paid SO much more than $100 when it came out, so we could just go ahead and get it online. I don't know if she thought we were gonna bend or what! So, Travis gave a different lady at the sale our phone number, and said that if they changed their mind to give us a call. So, they ended up calling and brought it to our house! I probably wouldn't of wanted it if it didn't have the flash. I'm almost positive I can use that on my Canon.
Isn't this the weirdest looking camera you have ever seen? Prints are really pricey from this camera, so I'm going to take care in taking the pictures. Maybe even wait until our trip to Cornerstone for my first try. When I get them developed I will be sure to post, but it might be later this summer.

"Crap Cam"
Remember THIS camera (Ansco 1065) that I got at the thrift store? I finally got some film developed from it! I wasn't sure what to expect since I saw several websites calling it the "Crap Cam". Haha!! I used black and white since that's all I had here at the house. They turned out SO dreamy!
As you can see this picture had multiple exposures... it was totally a mistake! An awesome mistake! For some reason the camera suddenly stopped advancing properly, so I only got 5 pictures out of the roll. Such a bummer, but either way I LOVE the way all the pictures turned out. Sadly I was charged full price for 24 exposures even though only 5 came out. What a rip off!I'm going to give it another shot and try another roll. Maybe it will advance right this time? Wish I could control the double exposure thing. . . I'd love to do that again!

New toy...
I got a new toy!
It's the Lomography Fisheye 2 camera!
I am "Lol'ing" to myself...
Right after I get my sweet new digital SLR, I get a crappy old school film camera. HA!
This camera is anything but crappy though. . . it's loads of fun!
(pay no mind to the dieing aloe plant in the background)
All I had was a black and white roll of film so that's what I used.
They turned out pretty darn nifty!
Here are a few of my favorites:

Maybe I should of got into the business? HA!
For Cornerstone, my band, Hand Drawn Mountains is doing a DIY preview of the up and coming full length. The covers are going to be made out of fabric!
I won't say much more about it...but they are going to be nifty-neat-o!

Here my little rig that Travis set up for me. It made it all so easy!
I did over 130 of them today... and it was a breeze! What a relief.
There's still so much to do to complete the project, but at least this part is finished.
I've been snap happy since I got my new camera. Here's a few...
Josh.
Brian. (My little bro!)
Dustin and my Taylor Big Baby called "Isaac."
Neko.
That is all! Have an amazing Memorial Day Weekend!

Dustin is having fun playing with it as well.
He even started a brand new flickr account for his new creative urges.
I've committed myself to reading the entire manual.
Ack. So boring, but it must be done!
