Whats going down.

I've been super busy lately.

First off, we've been having band practice twice a week in preparation for Cornerstone.

We've been working on our DIY CD cases that are amazing and fun!

It's sooo much work, but it's going be so worth it.

Let's see... Senior Night for our Youth Group was last Sunday.

I was on the "committee" planning that. 

It was a "Geek" theme...and was a huge success! *breathes deep*

Pastor Dan showed up as Darth Vader... enabling me to capture this priceless shot.

Lastly I've been preparing for this weekends Strawberry Days in Grove City, PA!

I've made a tons of button magnets, and replenished my stock of prints and scrabble pendants. 

As always at live craft shows, my prints will be a cool $10!

Yesterday my band went into the studio and recorded three new songs for our full length. So much fun. I was blown away by how much easier it was compared to the last time we recorded almost two years ago. Not sayin it was a total breeze or anything, but I think we've really grown as a band. We still have to do mixing, but hopefully they will be ready real soon. If you're not familiar with my band, Hand Drawn Mountains, check us out on Myspace or Facebook!

Wow!! I've been crazy busy this summer! There's no way I could write about it all, so I'll just do a little photo essay. ^_^

Honestly, I haven't been able to do any art this summer. I've finally submitted to the fact that I usually take summers off. In years past I didn't mean to, but it just ended up that way. Either way, I'm having an amazing break. Hope you are too!

the sound of music...

Hi! I hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend! Tonight I'm going to see Dustin Kensrue at Mr. Smalls Theater in Pittsburgh. I'm so excited! Dustin is also the singer of the band Thrice. Everyone in the Furman house is a long time fan of both these projects. Maybe I can get some good pictures to share for tomorrow!

Speaking of music, my band Hand Drawn Mountains finally has an EP complete and ready to share with the world! We will be having an official CD release show sometime in March, but in the meantime I have some if anyone is interested. They are $6 for six songs. Fair trade right? :D

Remember this autumn tree I painted a few months ago? We decided to use it on the CD cover!
